Harini, a 10th-grade student at Vivekanana Vidya Kala Ashram, Chennai has been honoured with the Vidyakiran Appreciation Award, a recognition of her academic excellence, discipline, and dedication to service.
Harini’s favourite subject is mathematics, where her analytical thinking and problem-solving skills truly shine. Outside of academics, she excels in extracurricular activities, particularly freestyle basketball, which she plays at school. Her passion for sports complements her goal of maintaining both physical and mental agility.
Harini’s career plan is to serve her nation as a Navy officer, inspired by her role model, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. His teachings have instilled in her a deep sense of responsibility, leadership, and commitment to the country. She believes in the value of hard work and discipline, following in the footsteps of her inspiration.
To her younger peers, especially the 6th-grade students, Harini advises, “Time is important. No time should be wasted. Use the chance because opportunities don’t come again and again.” Her wisdom reflects her maturity and understanding of life’s fleeting opportunities.
