Rasika, an 8th-grade student at Vivekananda Vidya Kala Ashram, Chennai has been awarded the Vidyakiran Appreciation Award, recognizing her determination and achievements both in academics and athletics.
Rasika’s favourite subject is Tamil, and her dream is to become an IAS officer, with a goal to empower women and ensure greater freedom for them in society. Her vision of a better world is driven by her commitment to make impactful changes as a future leader.
Rasika’s resilience shines through her athletic endeavours as well. Despite a foul shot during a national athletic competition, she remains undeterred, planning to try again next year. She has already won gold in the 80-metre adult race, proving her talent and determination.
To her younger peers, Rasika advises, “Whatever comes in life, never give up. Every second is important.” Her words reflect her unwavering spirit and positive mindset.
