August 26, 2025Prarthana Rajendra Gondhali, a class 8th student at Shree Raj Education Centre, Ghotawade, Pune, has been awarded with the VidyaKiran appreciation award. What sets Prarthana apart from her peers is because her vision is clear, her mind is sharp, and her heart is in the right place. A student with a deep interest in History and Civics, Prarthana is not just learning about the nation’s past—she’s preparing to shape its future.
Prarthana’s fascination with History goes far beyond dates and timelines. She sees history as a map of human choices, revolutions, and resilience. And when it comes to Civics, “Understanding how our government works, how laws are made—it gives me a sense of responsibility,” she says. Inspired by stories of civil servants making real change, he’s determined to follow that path to become an IAS officer.
Prarthana isn’t just academically gifted—she’s a thinker and a strategist. Her favorite game? Chess. She has already bagged two certificates in inter-school chess competitions, a reflection of his analytical mind and calm approach under pressure. It’s no surprise that the same skills that make a good chess player are the ones that make a great administrator. Interestingly, Arjun’s other favorite game couldn’t be more different—Kabbadi. Fast-paced, physical, and rooted in team spirit, kabbadi gives him an adrenaline rush and a strong sense of community.
